WTT Champions Frankfurt: Everything you need to know

Hugo’s second to last event this season on the international table tennis circuit will be the WTT Champions Frankfurt, in Germany. The competition, one of the most important on the calendar, will start on November 3 and run until the following Sunday, November 10.
Hugo is the #4 seed in the WTT Champions Frankfurt. The competition features the best players in the world rankings in each event – check out the full list of participants here.
Hugo has had a solid season at the WTT events in 2024. This year, he won two titles (WTT Star Contender Ljubljana and WTT Contender Rio de Janeiro) and reached two other finals (WTT Champions Incheon and WTT Star Contender Goa).
BRAZILIANS IN FRANKFURT
In addition to Hugo, the WTT Champions Frankfurt will also feature another player from Brazil: Bruna Takahashi, ranked #19 in the world.
COMPETITION SYSTEM
The WTT Champions Frankfurt will feature men’s and women’s singles events in a single-elimination system, with 32 players in each bracket.
Matches will be played in best of 5 games until the quarter-finals. From the semi-finals onwards, the matches will be best of 7 games.
